Lunchtime Concert – Simon Carrey
Wooburn Festival will again be supporting the ever popular All Saints Church Monday lunchtime concerts. All Saints Church is located in the heart of High Wycombe and the original structure was probably built around 1087.

lt was built, cherished and embellished by successive generations and contains the history of the people of High Wycombe over the last nine centuries.

The concerts during the Festival will take place each Monday from 23rd September to 14th October at 1:10pm and typically last for less than one hour. The Mustard Seed Cafe in the church where you can enjoy light refreshments will be open before the concerts from 11:00am. Do come and support All Saints Church and Wooburn Festival for outstanding lunch time music

14th October – Simon Carrey

Born in Tarbes (France) in 1990, Simon Carrey began piano performance learning at the age of 5 in his hometown Conservatory. He furthered his music studies in Toulouse and Boulogne-Billancourt under the direction of Hortense Cartier-Bresson. Alongside his instrument, he studied the organ, the harpsichord, the pianoforte and the bassoon. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music of London where he received his Bachelor of Music Degree with Nigel Clayton and obtained a Master Degree in piano performance with Distinction with Ashley Wass. During his studies at the Royal College of Music he was a Scholar supported by a Jane Chapmann Memorial Award. He also holds a Master degree in Collaborative Piano from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with French pedagogues Anne Le Bozec and Emmanuel Olivier.

Simon has performed in various famous Halls across Europe such as the Philarmonie de Paris, Salle Cortot, Salon des Maréchaux du Ministère de la Culture, Cathédrale Saint-Louis des Invalides, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Abbaye de Royaumont, Debussy Festival in Argenton-sur-Creuse and Festival de Saintes (France), Saint Martin-in-the-Fields, Britten Theatre and Amaryllis Flemming Concert Hall in London, Gheorghe Dima Academia de Muzica in Cluj (Romania). A keen chamber musician and collaborative pianist, he worked with the Choir of the Orchestre Philarmonique de Paris, Paris-Châtelet Conservatoire, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and the Ensemble Intercontemporain.

All Saints Church do however rely on your donations to help cover the running costs of these concerts so please if you can, use the gift aid envelopes provided.
The Mustard Seed Café is open during the concerts serving a variety of teas, coffees and cakes before and after each concert.
